Tasting Notes: The Strata Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay 2009 is finely tuned and is made from hand picked fruit off two established Red Hill sites. At the moment the oak is quite obvious, but this will soften as the wine evolves in the bottle. It’s a biggish Chardonnay with the benefits of clean, cool climate acidity. It displays preserved lemon, fig and cashew nut characters and nice clean acidity.
