Tasting Notes: This wine has a youthful fragrance of juniper berries and blood plums. The palate is brimming with sweet red berry and mint flavours, along with some regional eucalyptus and cedary notes.
Background Information: This is the follow on vintage to the very popular 2008 release. The 2010 saw the first signs that the drought was broken. The 2009 winter was milder than normal and the region saw the best winter rainfall for a decade. Many vineyards looked a picture of health into the spring. Continual mild conditions throughout the growing season allowed cabernet the luxury of slowly ripening. Picking in the region was all over by late April.
