Tasting Notes: Deli counter
The nose is all deli meats and smoky oak. The palate has more of a fruit component, with raspberry and boysenberry noticeable, along with a savoury slant, on the finish.
Background Information: This wine is made by a winemaker who knows a thing or two about making Pinot Noir. Ten year ago he was awarded the prestigious Bouchard-Finlayson Trophy for Champion Pinot Noir at the 1999 International Wine & Spirit Show in London. In 2008 he was awarded the trophy for Best Pinot Noir of Show, in class 38, at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show.
