Variety: Shiraz

Region: Grampians

Tasting Notes: Pepper & spice

This wine has deep aromas of dark chocolate, licorice and dusting of spice. The palate is medium bodied; with supple, sweet fruit and loads of central Victorian pepper and spice.

Background Information: The two brothers behind this wine run all forms of the business, with some ‘old heads’ overseeing the process. These ‘old heads’ are their father and uncles who just so happens were the men who planted the original Mt Langi Ghiran vineyards back in 1968.

Traditional winemaking techniques are used. The wines are made in shallow, open top fermentation tanks, the skins hand plunged to extract intense colour, then basket pressed and the wine allowed to settle before being stored in a variety of American and French oak.
