Tasting Notes: "From the Waihopai Valley on the northern tip of New Zealands South Island. This Pinot Gris has a rich and musky nose of pear, apricot and green herb, making way for a broad and oily mouthful of wine with terrific intensity of fruit, focused acidity and a long, drying finish. A great partner to fish, including salmon and tuna".
Matt Skinner, The Age
Background Information: The grapes are sourced from a single estate vineyard. The wine was fermented as three different batches. Each batch has had a different treatment. Cool ferments, lees stirring, and indigenous yeast have produced a very complex and interesting wine.
