Tasting Notes: Tangy orange and lime
It’s got a Riesling like crispness to it with loads of lemon curd, tangy orange and lime. There could be some Pinot Gris in there as well and maybe some Chardy, but at the end of the day who cares, as it’s a stunner of a summer drink.
Background Information: It was really hard (impossible) to find anybody who could tell us what the blend of this 2010 Knappstein Classic White actually is, perhaps Glenn Barry is the only one who actually knows, because his wine reps certainly don’t. In days gone by this wine probably would have been labeled Chablis being the crisp style of wine that it is.
