Tasting Notes: Passionfruit & Sherbet
This is ripely scented, with pear and tropical fruit aromas. The palate has passionfruit and sherbet flavours along with an herbaceous and tangy finish.
Background Information: The wine is overtly ripe and obviously Marlborough with its noticeable herbaceous notes. The nose is very tropical whilst the palate has subtle tropical characters, and is actually medium dry.
2009 was another bumber crop in Marlborough. Like 2008 there will be loads of Sauvignon Blanc hitting the marketplace, some much better than others. After looking at the ’08 from this property we were confident there’s was the way to go in ’09 and we’re very happy with what they’ve produced this vintage.
