It smells like a Pinot Gris but is all Pinot Grigio in the mouth. The honey and pineapple aromas lead to intense apple and pear fruit, and oodles of thirst quenching acidity. It is the perfect pre dinner glugger or relaxed lunchtime wine.
Background Information: Now we all know, when you are on a “School Break Budget” but still need to fill the fridge, Pinot Grigio is not the first grape variety that comes to mind. A $5 wine rarely ever looks as good as Our Eagle Point NSW Pinot Grigio 2010 (with the exception of-course of anything else 6J’s sells for $5!).
For weekday drinking this wine ticks all the boxes and then some! Winemaker Peter ‘juicy’ Grajewski cranks out some pretty handy booze and this is everything you might expect from a far more expensive drop. It is clean, well made, and complete with trademark Pinot Grigio saltiness.
