Tasting Notes: It is a medium bodied red, with a good balance of sweet cassis Cabernet fruit and savoury spice. The nose has a dusty cigar – box perfume, with sweet blackcurrant fruit beneath. The palate shows blackberry fruit along with white pepper and anise flavours. It has only seen a small amount of oak and it’s really clean. It would match a full range of foods.
Background Information: It is made by one of the more high profile producers on the Peninsula which consistently gets 5 Stars in the Halliday annual Wine Companion. They have been making wine in the region for over 20 years.
