6J’s Wine Merchants began in early 2001 with a vision to provide a service to people whereby we would source quality wines at the best possible prices in as many categories as necessary while maintaining business integrity and uncompromising standards.

At the Prahran Market we established the very first dedicated cleanskin wine outlet in Australia . To this day we still have our Prahran outlet and have now moved into our third warehouse where we service hundreds of wholesale and thousands of retail customers.

Early on we set up relationships with many wineries that have endured to this day, while many more have since joined our supply team as our reputation has developed. These days we are also purchasing labelled products which in the main are available due to cancelled export orders, changes to agents or marketers altering labels. Whatever the reason, our customers are getting great bargains.

The wine glut that was beginning to appear in 2001 has today turned into a veritable lake. The oversupply position has meant terrific value and savings to our customers at all levels of our business. At a retail level it has meant savings of between 20% to 50% and in some cases even more against the same products in their labelled form.
